There’s a lot more to writing a blog and posting to live websites than you might realize. So many decisions that have both short-term and long-term consequences.
I started off last week with Blogger from Google, then quickly moved to WordPress. That was an easy enough transition, but I didn’t find any of the pre-installed themes to be up to the task of what i need to look professional.
I’m back to using the Newspaper theme from tagdiv
It’s a pretty robust theme, with lots of settings and configurations available. It’s not easy to setup, but once you have the major pieces and parts in place, the maintenance is pretty straightforward. Since I go back to version 8, and they’re running 12.6, I’ve spent the last 6 hours or so simply refamiliarizing myself with the interface, installing and configuring plugins, and selecting templates.
